Seeking maintenance technician (s) immediate need to be filled in Gulf Shores, Alabama
Pay is based on experience.
JOB SUMMARY: Reed Real Estate is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance tasks and to support the overall quality of our large and quickly growing portfolio of vacation homes. Hours can and will vary weekly and seasonally based on business needs. Possible after hour calls & Weekends are a must.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance
Perform daily/weekly/monthly Inspections
Respond to customer issues regarding maintenance, and complete work orders as needed including but not limited to:
Appliance troubleshooting and minor repair,
Cable/wifi troubleshooting,
Basic HVAC repair and troubleshooting, plumbing repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to Appliances: minor repairs and installation of washers, dryers, garbage disposals, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves
Electrical: Replace ceiling fans, light fixtures, plugs and switches
Plumbing: Toilet rebuilds, stop sink leaks, fix plumbing under sinks, install new plumbing fixtures
Have the ability to properly utilize equipment and follow safety procedures prior and during use of the equipment
Assist with service contractors and building repair and maintenance contractors as needed
Be aware of the company’s emergency preparedness plan and responsibilities. This includes being available for implementation and assistance if necessary
Must be able to work overtime and on call, as well as a non-traditional schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed, based on workload
Requirements:
Able to interact with our guests, and team members while maintaining a customer service attitude.
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally ability to move up to 100 lbs
Physically able to bend, stoop, climb, and reach
Physically able to walk continuously while performing required tasks.
Must be able to climb/stand on a ladder
Must be able to work in inclement weather including hot or cold temperatures
Must have valid driver license, reliable transportation
Two (2) years’ experience in general maintenance or vacation rental maintenance repairs.
